History

1977: Valley Supply is located on Old York Road in New Cumberland, PA, founded by Frank Bingman and Wayne Schug, owners of Susquehanna Valley Construction Company. Harvey L. Sipe Sr. is manager. At this time, Valley Supply represents Richmond Screw Anchor, Master Builders, W.R. Meadows & Poly America Corporation.

1982: Valley Supply moves to the rear of their parent company, Susquehanna Valley Construction at 175 Lamont Street, New Cumberland, PA. Valley Supply increases its delivery fleet, adds to their sales force, and continues to grow its customer base. It also adds product lines from Sonneborn, Kaufman Products, and the Sika Corporation.

1983: Harvey L. Sipe Jr. starts his full-time career with Valley Supply.

1988: Valley Supply obtains a new parent company, Deblin Inc.

1990: We relocate to 4913 Old Gettysburg Road, Mechanicsburg. Morrison Knudsen starts building the Eastern Distribution Center Project at NCAD, and Valley Supply becomes a major source of its project supplies.

1992: Valley Supply expands its staff and its warehouse space.

1995: Greg Freeman hires a sales team to help handle the firm’s booming economy. Valley Supply adds new product lines and services. We start stocking wire mesh and purchase a rebar shear line to fabricate and deliver rebar projects.

2000: Valley Supply moves into Deblin’s old office at 4915 Gettysburg Road, making this the first time the company has a stand-alone office with a sales showroom. Unitex Corporation of Kansas City, MO, chooses Valley Supply as their Eastern distribution shipping center. We expand our delivery fleet and service area.

2003: Valley Supply starts construction on a 20,000-square-foot facility at 700 Independence Ave, Mechanicsburg, PA, where it currently stands today. The facility includes an inside rebar shear line, vertical racking, an office, and showroom. This is our current location.

2004: Valley Supply opens a satellite location on the Pottsville Pike in Reading, PA.

2006: Valley Supply adds EP Henry to its product lines in Reading, PA, and provides materials to excavating and landscape contractors.

2006 thru 2010:  Valley Supply scales back and closes the Reading facility, focusing on its current facilities and dedication to its valued customers. Today, the Future of Valley Supply is looking very bright. We have the right people in place, to insure you our best and possibly warranting us to help you with your next opportunity.
